Orchestra Library Assistants

The MSO library is looking for expressions of interest for casual staff to assist with part preparation as we commence our 2025 season. This will include:

- Pencilling markings into parts - primarily copying out string bowings, but also other markings as directed (errata, bar numbers etc.).
- Repairing parts as needed or correcting page turns.
- Scanning and photocopying music.
- Other duties as clearly directed by the Orchestra Librarian.
- Strong music reading skills.
- Neat handwriting.
- Good attention to detail and focus.
- Passion and knowledge of orchestras and orchestral repertoire.
- Experience playing a string instrument preferred.

The MSO Library is located at the MSO Head Office in Southbank, where work will take place in person during standard business hours between 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday.

Please advise your casual availability in your EOI as this role can be flexible with number of hours/days. Start date January 2025.
