Butcher

CHOKR PTY LTD located in Underwood is looking for an experienced Butcher to join our team in a busy retail store where we take pride in our Products and Customer Service.

The successful applicant must be motivated, hardworking, and reliable.

Main Duties:

- Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat.
- Prepare and place meat cuts and products in display counter.
- Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
- Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats, such as beef, pork, poultry, veal, lamb and fish.
- Estimate requirements and order or requisition meat supplies to maintain inventories.
- Supervise other butchers or meat cutters.
- Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery, to ensure meat quality and that it is Halal certified.
- Record quantity of meat received and issued to cooks and/ or keep records of meat sales.
- Shape, lace, and tie roasts, using boning knife, skewer, and twine.
- Cure, smoke, tenderise and preserve meat.
- Total sales and collect money from customers.

Skills Required:

- At least Certificate III in Butchery or relevant
- At least three years work experience in the Butcher/Meat Processing Industry
- Knowledge of HALAL
- Good attention to detail
- Must have good communication skills
- Experience in WHS and use of equipment

**Salary**: $60,000.00

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
