About The Role
Anglicare is looking for a Church and Marginalised Communities Advisor to work in partnership with the Anglican churches (and other key stakeholders) to equip, train and support ministry in marginalised communities, primarily through the delivery of ‘The Well’ training program
This is a Maximum Term (till Nov 2026) Part Time (4 days a week) role based at Mt Druitt.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Ensure ongoing operations and agreed outcomes of the Well Training Project
- Ensures Anglicare works side by side with churches in marginalised areas to recruit and train bi-vocational gospel workers
- Ensures all programs offered are appropriate to the needs of the recipients
- Coaching individuals within or thinking about the Well Training program
- Partnership and relationship building
- Contributes to consultation with Church and other communities
- Organisational responsibilities
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of Anglicare programs by assisting with policies, procedures, and work practices.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Development or Social Work
- Theological study at Graduate Level
- Holds a License or Authorisation in the Anglican Diocese of Sydney (or could qualify for such)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivering pastoral care training programs and workshops or equivalent psycho-educational courses and seminars
- Active member of an Anglican Congregation
- Current NSW Driver’s License
- Valid NSW Working with Children’s Check.
