**For this role, we are looking for a health care professional with**:

- A degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Ability to provide therapeutic interventions for individuals/groups and families and a commitment to evidence-based practice in a mental health setting.

**The Role**
- As a **Social Worker** at the Forensic Hospital, your primary focus is to provide a comprehensive evidenced informed social work service to patients and their family/carers. This includes the provision of psychosocial assessments, counselling/family work/ therapy and advocacy to ensure optimal social outcomes. The service includes individual, family, group work and program development. The social work is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team.

**Our Location, Team, and Service**

**The Forensic Hospital **is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional, and high-risk civil patients.
- A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals provide care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency and acute care, to long stay and rehabilitation care.
- While working at the Forensic Hospital, you will develop strong professional connections with colleagues and making a positive contribution to vulnerable people. **A mandatory and comprehensive two-week, full-time orientation is provided. All days are paid. The next intake date is on 25 November 2024**
