**What we need**
A highly motivated Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our friendly team
This position is Full-Time with the opportunity to complete a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle if not already qualified.
**What will you do?**
Your role will be to support our Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator in providing an engaging person-centred leisure and lifestyle program.
More specifically, your key duties will include:
- participate and assist in the development of various activities that take into consideration the residents social needs and care plan
- encourage and motivate residents and family to participate in the activities program
- regularly evaluate activities and individual care plans in relation to the residents’ social needs.
**What you bring to the role**
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or equivalent) or desire to complete qualification as a Trainee.
- Residential aged care and/or experience working with clients with dementia is preferred.
- HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence or the willingness to undertake
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- A can-do attitude with the ability to learn and grow on the job
- A friendly outgoing personality
- A desire to work in the not-for-profit sector in a rewarding environment
