APG are currently seeking a Mechanical Tradesperson for 6-month assignment for a local Government Sector based in Windsor NSW.

**The Role**:

- Location: Windsor
- Start Date: ASAP
- 6 Month assignment + Possibility of Extension
- Pay Rate: $47.89 + Super
- Hours of work: 76 hours, 9 day fortnight

**Primary purpose of the role**
The role will safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment.

**Key accountabilities**
- Safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment.
- Perform a wide range of routine and complex labouring/ manual tasks, including the use of a variety of small plant and powered and non-powered hand tools, to assist with the completion of work activities.
- Work is completed under limited supervision and may be done in a team environment or independently.
- Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refueling and checking fluid and maintain records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items
- Solve routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals and collaborate with
- supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to ensure risks are minimised and work goals are achieved.
- Provide guidance to team members, including apprentices/trainees, leading the work output of a small unit as required, to develop capability and ensure team tasks are completed effectively.

**Essential requirements**
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Current Construction Industry White Card.
- Current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver's license.
- HR Licence - Required
- AIS - Preferred
- HVAIS - Preferred
