**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for effectively troubleshooting and correcting mechanical, electrical, and control issues. This role works to ensure that machinery, plant and equipment are safe, working efficiently and able to carry out their purpose for operations. Ideally this role will suit a hands-on, self-motivated person with maintenance experience in the manufacturing/processing industry. Occasional overtime may be required.
**Responsibilities**
- Preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems, which include working mechanical areas and assisting electrical repairs
- Mechanical fault finding, with trouble shooting on automated systems
- Assisting the operation to ensure maximum system availability
- Working towards increasing equipment reliability by continuously improving and initiating processes and support
- Responding efficiently to breakdown conditions to minimise equipment down time
- Contribute and assist in upcoming improvement projects
- 5+ years previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing, or processing industry
- Mechanical fitter trade qualified
- Experience with glass processing equipment is essential
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
- Strong computer skills
- Self-sufficient with a positive attitude
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Proactive and highly motivated, and the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Previous experience in the glass industry will be highly regarded
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
