Gardener Trade Assistant

Your day-to-day
- By maintaining all gardens, lawns, gardening pots, drains and guest area. You’ll keep our gardens looking lush and vibrant.
- Organise supplies and make sure equipment is ready for the next day.
- Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Live up to high safety standards - follow guidelines and inform Engineering Management about any incidents, dangerous conditions, or unsafe equipment.
- Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas around the entire hotel.
- Always keep an eye out for improvements - follow any preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times
- Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests and co workers
- Keep your Maintenance Manager in the loop and tell them about any low running supplies.
- Look smart and approachable in your uniform
- Perform all other reasonable duties that may be assigned to you by Management.
- Perform tasks - mowing, whipper snipping, planting, fertilising of both plants and lawns, weeding and rubbish collection

What we need from you
- Experience - you’ll have a strong history and background in Horticulture and Garden Maintenance
- On top of building equipment and hand tools, you’ll have a strong working knowledge of irrigation and plant knowledge
- Fitness - you’ll be on your feet most of the day and will need to bend and kneel a lot and climb up ladders.
- Great communication skills, you’ll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to
- Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
