Experienced Apparel Cutter

**Introduction**:
We are a high-end women’s clothing band, established since 2008 in Sydney Australia. The design is very simple with a surprising twist which is made by luxury fabrics.
Our mission is to empower women with confidence through beautiful clothes and beautiful looks.
- Cutting fabrics according to patterns provided by the design team.
- Ensuring precision and accuracy in fabric cutting to minimise wastage.
- Working with different types of fabrics, considering their specific characteristics.
- Maintaining the cutting area and tools in a clean and organised manner.
- Collaborating with the designer to understand specific cutting requirements for each design.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a fabric cutter in a similar fashion design or apparel production setting.
- Proficiency in using cutting tools, such as scissors, rotary cutters, and electronic cutting machines.
- Knowledge of different fabric types and their handling techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret design patterns and templates.
- Attention to detail and precision in cutting fabrics.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.

**Educational Background**:
These are preferable but not necessary
- A degree or diploma in fashion design, dressmaking, or a related field.
- Certification or training in specific sewing techniques or garment construction.

**Work Experience**:

- 15 years of experience as an apparel cutter or in a similar role.

**Work Environment and Schedule**:

- The work place is a studio, located in Paddington Sydney.
- The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. But, it’s negotiable.
- Full-time, part-time and contractor are available.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:
