Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled & experienced Metal Fabricator to join our growing Sydney team based in Auburn. This is a Full-Time opportunity for an individual that strives to produce & appreciate quality workmanship and work well in a team environment while adhering to OH&S procedures and polices.

You will need to be trade qualified and have sound welding skills across various machines and types of materials. You will manage your schedule and time to deliver quality works on time and defect free.

**Tasks & Duties include;**
- Mig and Tig Welding;
- Able to read drawings & specifications to customer needs.
- Section cutting, joining, polishing, fabricating, and welding using various machinery and hand tools provided.
- Building equipment from scratch with precise alignment, bolting and riveting.
- Cleaning, grinding and polishing of work completed prior to paint and galvanising.
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock.
- Use hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines to cut designated metal parts and shapes.
- Use machines and manual tools to shape and bend metal sections.
- Use measuring devices and hand tools to position the steel to be joined.
- Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting.
- Exam welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision.
- Finish products by cleaning, polishing, and filing.
- Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding.

Mandatory requirements:

- Drivers Licence
- Minimum 3 years Welding Experience

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
