**Role Description/Criteria**

St Francis of Assisi Primary School is seeking an experienced Numeracy Enhancement Leader who is motivated and has a proven capacity to help each student achieve their potential through meeting their academic numeracy needs. The Numeracy Enhancement Leader will work collaboratively with the L/T Team to implement and evaluate numeracy intervention programs and build teacher capacity around numeracy. This role will have a large teaching component such as running numeracy intervention groups.

Applicants will possess the skills and abilities to promote high expectations for all, embrace a collaborative approach to learning and teaching, and demonstrate their contribution to the ongoing development of our learning community.

The successful applicant will be offered a two year contract to the Numeracy Enhancement Leader role and an ongoing teaching position.

- experience with teaching numeracy intervention
- a commitment to researching, implementing and evaluating evidence based numeracy practice
- an ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues
- an understanding of evidence based best practice and high impact teaching strategies
- an ability to work collaboratively in a team
- a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
- an ability to create and maintain a supportive, safe and engaging learning environment
- an ability to coach staff in effective numeracy intervention programs
- an ability to record and track student data to analyse and reflect on the effect of the intervention
- an ability to teach small group and individual students using effective numeracy intervention programs
