**About the Client**:
Our client is a small, independent games studio based in Adelaide, known for their creative, story-driven projects. They operate as a tight-knit team and are looking for a proactive and organised **Finance & Production Assistant** to support the business for 5 hours per week.
This role is ideally suited to a student or junior professional with an interest in production, business operations, or arts administration — rather than someone looking to become a game developer. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in a studio environment without needing prior industry experience.
**The Role**:
This part-time position offers hands-on exposure to the business side of running a creative studio. You’ll assist with general bookkeeping, grant writing support, and a range of administrative tasks that help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with basic bookkeeping and financial administration (e.g. using Xero or similar platforms)
- Track project budgets and manage expense records
- Contribute to scheduling, documentation, and ad-hoc production coordination
- Provide general administrative support across the studio as needed
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Interested in production, finance, or arts/business administration
- Able to work independently and manage small tasks without supervision
- Familiarity with Xero, Excel, or similar tools is helpful (but not essential)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Flexible and able to commit to 5 hours per week on an ongoing basis

**This role is not suitable for aspiring game developers** — we’re looking for someone more interested in the operational or production side of creative industries.
