**About the team**:
Procurement supplies solutions. Coles Group is a top 30-listed ASX company with diverse needs from thousands of suppliers. Our team specialises in reducing cost and risk across our supply base. We partner with all areas of the business to develop and execute sourcing and contracting strategies that innovatively deliver sustainable value to our customers.
**About the role**:
As a trusted business partner, you will deliver sustainable value and innovation to our customers while reducing cost and risk through the development and execution of the supply chain category strategy.
You will be responsible for International Supply Chain and Material Handling Equipment across the Coles group and oversee end to end sourcing, award, contracting and ongoing supplier relationship management.
You’ll also:
- Support the establishment of the category vision and procurement plan
- Set and communicate the strategic direction and develop and execute category plans that produce the desired business results
- Achieve or exceed annual efficiency and project budget targets, achieved through effective commercial management of suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Remain current with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market experts to identify and communicate new technologies and solutions to support categories managed
- Support risk mitigation in supplier engagements

**About you and your skills**:
We’re after someone with proven experience in Category Management and/or broader procurement, with strong commercial exposure in supply chain or special projects, ideally within other large enterprises.
You’ll also need
- Solid technical understanding across categories including Service & Technology contracts and Equipment purchases
- Deep value chain management knowledge
- Research and networking skills to ensure Coles is at the forefront of industry leading practices, tools and strategic trends
- Related tertiary qualification, ideally within Procurement and Supply Chain, Law, IT, or Engineering preferred
