Sydney, Australia Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd Full time

**1. Management reporting**: status reports, executive presentation, change communications
**2. Project governance**: risk and issue management, steering committee leadership
**3. Process improvement**: documentation, automation
**4. Software tools**: team collaboration, workflow, reporting, data manipulation

Program Managers own the delivery of a collection of projects or initiatives. As a Program Manager, you may provide governance over a collection of projects, where those projects are delivered by others in the APAC Data Center Controls Team, but spread across multiple regions, and therefore require centralized coordination. As a Program Manager, you may also directly lead initiatives, where you will be directly responsible for improving the effectiveness of the APAC Data Center Controls Team. Finally, as a Program Manager and expert in outcomes delivery, you will be responsible for status reporting and coaching the status reporting of other delivery peers within your team (typically, Controls Engineers) in managing their projects, as part of your governance and reporting responsibilities. Program Managers in APAC Data Center Controls oversee the publication of all critical reporting (including Amazon documents such as Business Reviews, Goal Status, Escalations, etc.)

**Why you’ll love this role**:

- Join the cloud leader: Customers are choosing AWS over other providers because it has a lot more functionality, the largest and most vibrant community of customers and partners, the most proven operational and security expertise, and the business is innovating at a faster clip—especially in new areas such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Serverless Computing, and custom-designed processors and chips.
- See into the future: Data centers are at the backbone of today’s digital world. Your oversight role will have visibility of all data centers across Asia-Pacific, including current and upcoming data center builds.
- Influence executives: Your governance and reporting role will mean that senior leaders will read what you write.
- Drive operational excellence: Your role doesn’t stop with an existing operational process. You will have opportunity to Invent and Simplify, to make our mechanisms more efficient.
- Your unique background will be an asset: At Amazon, our ability to innovate on behalf of our global customers and communities is dependent upon the skills, perspectives, and knowledge of people from all backgrounds.
- Continuous growth and learning: You may not be an expert in AWS when you join our company, but you will have support to become one. Benefit from direct access to industry-leading specialists, latest training materials, and courses to propel your career.
