**Make an impact at Serco**
Currently seeking casual Dental Assistants to join our dental teams. In this role you will be working 100% chairside, assisting our Dentists in providing dental services to the Australian Defence Personnel.

**As a Dental Assistant, you’ll make a positive impact by**:

- Providing assistance to Dentists
- Implementing infection control procedures within the dental surgery in accordance with National Standards and Defence Policies and Procedures
- Managing patients in accordance with approved protocols
- Maintaining optimal hygiene and cleanliness of the dental surgery managing patient clinical records, filing of hard copy reports, booking and recall of patients
- Participating in governance and quality improvement activities including clinical reviews, health surveillance and auditing
- Ordering and maintenance of clinical stores and pharmaceutical imprest supplies
- Performing regular checks, calibration and maintenance of clinical equipment

**About ADF Health Services**
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.

This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 40+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.

**About Amberley**
RAAF Base Amberley, the largest Air Force Base in Australia and approximately 50 minutes from Brisbane city. It provides operational and maintenance support for the precision strike element of the Air Combat Group, F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft. Supports the strategic lift capability for the Australian military’s KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), C-17 Globemaster III heavy lift aircraft and C-27J Spartan battlefield airlifters. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to over 6500 RAAF members. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday - Thursday (depending on role requirements), and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.

**To be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) chair-side dental assisting experience with at least 2 years full-time equivalent within the last 5 years
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification

Please note:

- You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
- You don’t need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.

We may have flexible working arrangements available including FIFO, hybrid and locum options if these locations are not close to where you reside.
