**The Role and Requirements**

UAJV are currently seeking an experienced
**Cost Controller** to join the project team, based in the UAJV Project office in Perth, CBD. The successful applicant will report to the Contracts & Commercial Manager and is to provide support and guidance to the Project Administration team. Supports the Contracts Commercial effort with the analysis and reporting of Project commercial activity performance. Billing of progress claims in a timely and complete manner. Monitors variation spends and reports same to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

This role is required immediately and will operate on a Monday - Friday, 45-hour week. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a project team where your skills and experience will be key in succeeding more work for on-going opportunities.

**Main Activities**
- Populate detailed cost reports with risks, commitments, expenditure and variation and provide information and advice for the contract cost and commercial effort.
- Assist in the development of project budgets throughout the Project life cycle and monitor progress against actuals. And support and assist project budget stakeholders with key performance reporting for their department.
- Assist with the Manage the engagement and performance of external contractor and suppliers and monitor the quality and standard of services delivered by external contractors, as required.
- Develop and maintain effective networks through collaborative relationships with client and suppliers.
- Supporting the management of changes in costs and their associated approval
- Supporting the invoicing of project costs to the appropriate client/s

**Qualifications & Experience**

To be successful in this position, you must possess resource industry experience along with:

- 5+ years of experience in Contracts/Commercial administration & a high degree of technical / organisational complexity.
- Experience in a commercial environment and/or change management role in an industrial services organisation or mining/oil and gas sector.
- Accounting or business administration qualification.
- Strong knowledge and expertise of cost control practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the project.
- Seasoned communication skills and a fine attention to detail
- Experience working within a multi-cultural workforce is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high functioning team.
