**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused and customer-centric individual to play a fundamental role in upholding Jones Radiology’s commitment to delivering the best possible patient experience.
The Medical Imaging Assistant (MIA) aids technical staff and ensures optimum clinic efficiency across multiple (MRI and CT) modalities. The MIA works closely with technical and clerical staff members to improve patient health care through accessible, empathic and innovative imaging.
We are offering a permanent part-time position based at multiple Central / Adelaide Region clinic locations; working 15 hours per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays).
Upon your commencement, you will receive paid training to proficiently undertake your duties and deliver the best possible patient experience.
**Your key responsibilities**:
- Prepare patients for procedures and examinations
- Provide patients with adequate explanation and provision of information - both prior to the examination and during the examination
- Cannulate patients appropriately as required and assist technical staff with patient positioning
- Providing excellent customer service and patient care
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff, and managers
- Other general duties outlined in the attached position description
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Strong customer service skills, and a caring and empathic nature
- Demonstrated customer service experience, previous medical reception or clinical experience will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated initiative, proactivity, and willingness to learn
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
