**About the School**:
Flagstone State Community College is a growing school community that prides itself of fostering diverse learning opportunities in a positive and inclusive community of learners that allow our students to thrive. Our college is developing a strong Sports Development Program with specialisation in Netball, Basketball, Rugby League and Oztag. This is complemented by a thriving Creative Arts program, and pioneering Entrepreneurial Education approach to Technologies and STEM. Staff are supported through a comprehensive approach to collegial engagement with school leaders engaging in daily Learning Walks and Talks and fortnightly school funded Collaborative Inquiry Cycles. As a Positive Behaviour for Learning School the college has the setting of high expectations supported through clear and consistent learning routines as a school focus.

**About the Role**:
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
