As a **Test Lead**, you will play a critical role in defining and delivering the quality required to maintain our client’s reputation for delivering great digital experiences.

Your role includes leading the QA team to broaden and mature the company’s capabilities and service offering. In doing so, you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of our client’s technical delivery capabilities. This is a mid-level leadership role where you will collaborate with other project leads to deliver exceptional quality digital products aligned with customer, client and project objectives.

**Core responsibilities of the role include**:

- Expert understanding of testing processes, approaches, frameworks, and tools especially with regard to functional and unit testing.
- Understanding of WCAG for accessibility testing.
- Working closely with developers, testers, designers and other disciplines and stakeholders to effectively deliver commercially viable outcomes within the desired time frame.
- Coaching and mentoring Test Engineers to ensure all projects meet requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure the necessary resources are available to deliver the requirements of the projects.
- Looking for weaknesses and or areas of improvement and working with the team to provide innovative solutions to help fix issues.
- Ensuring traceability and coverage through effective mapping of test cases and test executions by introducing tools and processes.
- Guiding and leading testing estimations for proposals and/or projects that are commercially viable, understanding the requirements and constraints for each proposal and/or project.
- Advise, write, execute and maintain end-to-end browser test automation scripts using frameworks, e.g., cypress.

**To be successful you'll need**:

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Test Engineer with a knowledge of testing and quality assurance principles and an understanding of Agile delivery.
- Experience in industry standard functional testing processes and tools.
- Strong experience in accessibility testing and screen reader tools like JAWs, NVDA, VoiceOver.
- Experience in automated testing is highly regarded.
- Experience in WCAG for Accessibility testing.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience leading a QA team from a capability and capacity perspective with good team leadership skills.
- Understanding and experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in web testing - Cross browser, UX, functional, and responsive testing (including mobile platforms - iOS and Android).
- Experience with project development software e.g JIRA.
- Experience with Bug tracking/ logging tools/extensions e.g X-Ray (JIRA), Bug Shooting.
- Experience in the writing and execution of test cases.
- Ability to multitask and work in more than one project/ client.
- Ability to work to timelines including deadlines, milestones and check-ins.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

**Advantageous, but not essential**:

- Experience working in Government environments, processes and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver government projects aligned to Digital Transformation Agency’s recommended service design and delivery process

**Salary**: From $100,000.00 per year
