**About the opportunity
Due to a parental leave we have a 14 month secondment opportunity as a Category Specialist reporting to the Portfolio Manager - Construction, Fit-out and Refrigeration. This role is based in Sydney NSW with flexible options to work from Surry Hills and Norwest with flexibility to also WFH.
**What you’ll do
- Develop category plans in conjunction with key stakeholders.
- Support and drive key GNFR initiatives working in depth with our Facilities Management/Format Development team.
- Anticipate, negotiate and execute commercial opportunities.
- Understand priorities and manage Procurement activities.
- Identify procurement activity business partners and influence them as required to achieve desired outcomes.
- Build and maintain momentum and consistency with regards to key stakeholder engagement.
- Develop, implement and manage vendor performance metrics, documents and reporting as part of a Supplier Relationship Management plan.
- Anticipate and execute contract-based opportunities.
- Manage the central repository for contracts, including activity planning and the timely execution of contracts.
- Obtain data from varied sources to identify and support fact-driven opportunities. Ensure analysis is accurate, comprehensive and robust.Conduct r isk analysis, market analysis to drive category strategies and take action as required.
**What you will bring
- 3 years + previous experience in a similar procurement role.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with procuring fixture and fitout, engineering equipment and construction ideally within the Retail sector.
- Strong results focus, with a continuous improvement skill set.
- Sound appreciation of category management principles and processes, with an understanding of contract law.
- Deliver significant and sustainable EBITDA benefits year on year.
- Strong results focus, with a continuous improvement skill set.Preferably tertiary qualified in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business Administration or studying towards or obtainedelevant professional accreditation or certification, such as MCIPS.
