**The Role**
The Information Security Incident Commander will play a critical role in protecting Atlassian and our customers during security incidents. You will be the central point of coordination for all major security incidents. In this role you will help align the overall incident response strategy, define and track work streams, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to Atlassian. You will need to act as the intermediary between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders. This role will be supporting Australian core business hours.
**Responsibilities**:
- Participating in preparedness activities such as tabletop exercises and red team events
- Engaging all required stakeholders and centrally gathering them for a coordinated response effort
- Leading incident bridge calls
- Assisting in the development of an overall response strategy
- Developing, tracking, and updating leadership on work stream progress
- Escalating issues as facts change and/or when blockers arise
- Translating technical communications into non-technical communications
- Assisting with internal and external incident related communication, both written and verbal
- Documenting incident response efforts
- Driving incident response efforts to meet SLOs and SLAs
- Participating in after action reviews
- Other, as required
Qualifications:
- Previous incident management experience
- 6+ years experience in information security
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- An investigative mindset
- Confidence to manage up to more senior leaders during incident response activities
- Consulting experience is a ‘nice to have’
