**About the Company**:
Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre are working in partnership with Hitachi Global Air Power Australia to deliver their National Apprenticeship Program. Hitachi Global Air Power Australia is a global leader in air compressors and accessories that delivers robust, reliable, and energy efficient compressed air solutions.
Their workshop is located in Dandenong and you will be working in a secure, ongoing, supported environment where you will learn from industry leading professionals.

**To secure this role you will need the following skills and personal attributes**:

- Learn quickly and have an eye for detail
- Possess a mechanical aptitude
- Enjoy working in a team and be highly motivated
- Have a positive approach to workplace safety

**You will be completing a Certificate III Engineering Mechanical and be trained in the following**:

- Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
- Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components.
- Using various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures.
- Set up and operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies

**Mandatory requirements**
- Must be an Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia
