Assistant Director of Pharmacy Ipswich

About the role
The Assistant Director of Pharmacy is to manage the operational delivery of medication management services for multiple pharmacy teams within the Ipswich Hospital to deliver efficient services consistent with QH strategic intents, relevant statutory requirements, policies and procedures, and professional and ethical guidelines and standards. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Pharmacy, WMHHS.
**Some of your key responsibilities are**:
- Lead and manage multiple teams by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
- Provide authoriative counsel in matters relating to pharmacy servces to stakeholders both within Ipswich Hospital and other services across WMH.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure effective cooperation within and across work units and the divisions to enhance service delivery, quality outcomes and patient services.

About you
- Demonstrated use of advanced communication and conflict management skills to negotiate agreement within a clinical pharmacy team and with external work unit managers, senior clinicians, and other stakeholders to implement service improvement and ensure effective cooperation within and across work units.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and operationally manage clinical pharmacy services across a variety of settings and lead the development of a highly capeable and efficient pharmacy team.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the division and actively participate in initiating, developing, and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical pharmacy services and optimise patient medication outcomes
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
