Receptionist

Foundations Counselling Centre is seeking a Casual **Receptionist** in a busy counselling practice in Carseldine, North Brisbane.

**About Us**

Foundations Counselling Centre was established in 1999 in response to a clear need in the community for high quality counselling services provided by practitioners holding a Christian world view. The Centre currently offers appointments with GP Counsellors, Psychologists and Counsellors.

**The Role**

As part of the reception team, your duties will include:

- Greeting clients/visitors to the practice and management of appointment check-ins.
- Management of practitioner schedules and appointment bookings.
- Processing payments and billings (Medicare, Work Cover, private health funds etc.)
- Maintenance of client files.
- Other general office procedures and processes, following directions from the Practice Manager as required.

**About You**

The ideal applicant will:

- Work collaboratively within a team and in a busy office environment.
- Communicate in a clear and professional manner with clients and other staff.
- Be proactive and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Prioritise tasks according to urgency and importance.
- Value compassion and kindness, particularly when speaking to clients who may be in distress.
- Have previous administration experience and/or practice management software experience such as the use of Halaxy, Powerdiary etc (desirable but not essential).

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Carseldine, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical or Allied Health Reception/Administration: 2 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
