**About the role**

Based at our site in
**Murrin Murrin, WA **and reporting to the Production Manager, you will be
**responsible for overall production and plant activities **within the BOC site as well as
**perform**
**control room operation & regular maintenance activities** (preventative, correct and predictive) of the plant as a process plant operator.

The purpose of this FIFO position is to support the Minara Nickel Operations, by safely operating/maintaining the 225tpd cryogenic Air Separation Unit (ASU) and the 22tpd hydrogen Steam Methane Reformer (SMR).

We require
**someone who is**
**based in WA** and
**available to FIFO** and be
**onsite at Murrin Murrin** 2 weeks on: 2 weeks off. Murrin Murrin is a remote location and is approximately 80 mins flight from Perth. Accommodation is maintained at the camp which is 8kms from the processing plant site.

**Other responsibilities in this role include**:

- Operate control room functions in a reliable and safe manner.
- Operate BOC plant to supply industrial gas to customers.
- Ensure compliance with the process safety standards and WA dangerous goods regulations.
- Manage compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality standards.
- Responsible for executing of process plant operational tasks including load control, start up, shutdown, plant efficiencies, taking samples, recording data and Preventative Maintenance.
- Operate a boiler and support the continuous plant operation by interpreting instrument readings and setting operating controls on equipment.
- Support maintenance teams on site for larger type overhauls.
- Assist in the planning and preparation, possible fault-finding of equipment in case of malfunction.
- Support compliance to statutory requirements such as Safety Valves, Pressure Vessel and Piping.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Relevant qualification or trade experience in Mechanical, Electrical and/or Instrumentation.
- Proven experience in chemical process plant operations and or reliability activity.
- Overall knowledge of process, mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- Permit to Work (PTW) experience would be an advantage.
- Forklift license and training in Operating a Boiler would be an advantage.
- Experience with SAP would be an advantage.
