About you
You have a positive attitude with a strong work ethic and good verbal and written communication skills. Your experience in following directions whilst working in a diverse fast paced environment allows you to be a good team player. You are confident in preparing and delivering food of high standard. Your dedication to nutritious food will enable you to provide well-presented food to detainees. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
Minimum Certificate II in Kitchen Operations (SIT20312) or equivalent qualification
Basic Food Hygiene / Food Safety Handling Certificate
Demonstrated experience with basic kitchen processes and food preparation
Ability to assist the Catering Manager and Chefs in preparation of the daily menu
Ensure all tasks are performed in a timely manner and comply with internal policy and legislative requirements
Understanding of OHS legislation and management of hazards

This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes national police check as an essential selection component for this role.
