Kitchen Hand

**Busy Learners Early Education Centre** is looking for a kitchen hand to prepare meals for the children in the centre. No child care or chef qualifications are necessary and all training will be provided. You will need a Paid Blue Card - Qld Working with Children Check.

The Kitchen Hand will prepare the meals for our centres for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. There’s no need for formal qualifications and all training will be provided but you should be enthusiastic about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for the children in our service. Nutrition is a vital part of children’s development and healthy eating is part of the QCCS philosophy. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab.

The Kitchen Hand must be passionate about children’s nutrition and have the same ethos and passion to embed and promote this in our centre.

Your role will include the preparation of fruits and vegetables for platters etc, heating and delivering meals, ensuring compliance with the centre Food Safety Plan and much more

**The Centre**

**Busy Learners Early Education Centre** opened in October 1993 and cares for 75 children aged from birth to school age. We offer many programs including bush kindy and music programs and incorporate Aboriginal perspectives into our every day learning. We also have a strong sustainability focus in our centre.

Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
