Boat Builder Technician

**Roles and responsibilities include**:

- Interpreting design plans such as reviewing and understanding technical blueprints and plans for boat construction and maintenance.
- Design and create hull moulds and fabricate vessels to meet client specifications and quality standards.
- Establish reference points and markings on dry docks and slipways to guide repair or construction activities.
- Boat construction and maintenance such as crafting and repairing boats using diverse materials like wood, fiberglass, carbon fiber, metals, reinforced plastic, and Kevlar.
- Custom design adjustments such as altering boat designs and structures to align with client specifications, including bespoke alloy and stainless steel fabrications.
- Install interior fit-outs including installing and finishing boat interiors, including cabinetry, fixtures, and essential fittings.
- Rigging installations, such as assembling rigging and performing fit-outs for new vessel constructions and customized tender modifications.
- Parts replacement and repair, including fixing or replacing damaged components to ensure the vessel remains seaworthy and fully operational.
- Inflatable boat servicing, including conducting repairs and re-tubing services for Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs).
- Insurance-related repairs, such as carrying out repair tasks under insurance coverage agreements.
- Remote service boat repair and maintenance services at offsite or remote locations.
- Installing and maintaining systems for lifting and cradling tenders.
- Setting up and servicing snap davit systems for tenders and small boats.

You must be an **Australian citizen** or **permanent resident** to apply.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

**Experience**:

- 1 year minimum experience as a boat repairer or a related field.

**Salary Offered**
- $74,000 - $95,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
