**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Our Education and Care team are looking for a number of OOSH Educators to join the team This role is responsible for undertaking the day to day operations of the centre and the Educator OOSH must be committed to educate and nurture children from all communities to be respectful, resilient and confident by providing an environment that is accepting, safe and inspiring.

The role is key in developing key relationships with Education and Care staff, other Council staff, children and their families, and is part of a multidisciplinary team where positive communication is paramount.

Reporting to the Centre Director - OOSH, this position will also maintain a clean and safe learning environment that nurtures and inspires children to explore and engage in rich, meaningful experiences which allows them to continue to construct their understanding of the world.

The successful applicant will require:

- Relevant qualifications in an education and care related discipline (or working towards with completion within 12 months) or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Valid Working with Children Check Clearance Number
- Child Protection course approved by the NSW Regulatory Authority (s162A Education and Care Services National Law) (or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate as approved by ACECQA (or willing to obtain)
- Completion of Food Handler/Safety Training (or willing to obtain)
- Current class C drivers licence
- Proven skills and experience in the following areas:

- Education and care
- Customer service
- Communication skills in written and oral format
- Computer operating systems
- Effective time management and organisational skills.

**Position information**: These are permanent, part-time positions available. All positions will be rostered to work from Monday to Friday between 6:00am to 6:00pm, and will include split shifts.

This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands/Auburn office / other location, with occasional / frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.

These positions are located at Ringrose OOSH, Parramatta West OOSH, and Guildford West OOSH, but may be required to work across any of Council's 14 Education and Care centres.

**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 5 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $29.63 to $34.08 per hour, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role.
