**About the Role**

Aegis Health is seeking dedicated Theatre Orderlies to join our Perioperative Services team. This role is essential to the safe and efficient delivery of patient care by providing vital physical assistance, logístical support, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the Operating Theatre suite.

**Position Objectives**

The Theatre Orderly provides direct support to clinical staff (Doctors, Nurses, and Health Professionals) by undertaking a range of duties:
**Patient Assistance and Transfer**
- Perform patient transfers throughout the hospital, including moving patients onto and off operating tables and trolleys.
- Safely operate patient transport equipment such as wheelchairs, lifting machines, and bed movers.
- Cultivate a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients, delivering excellent customer service.

**Logistics and Equipment Management**
- Responsible for intra-hospital patient and equipment transfers.
- Transport necessary items, instruments, and samples as required.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including organising linen and the restocking of equipment and supplies.

**Infection Control and Environmental Cleaning**
- Clean all areas and surgical equipment, maintaining a high standard of hygiene in strict accordance with Infection Control Standards and cleaning procedures.
- Remove dirty linen and ensure clean linen is readily available.
- Waste management duties.

**About You**

You will need to hold the following accreditation, skills and working rights:

- At least 12 months experience as per perioperative standards.
- Formal qualification or extensive experience in endoscopy reprocessing or sterilisation services, with strong knowledge of OH&S, manual handling, and hazard management.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control principles and reprocessing guidelines.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, quality assurance, and availability to work across morning and afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to high-quality customer service.
- Ability to take initiative, work self-motivated, and effectively as part of a team with mínimal supervision.
- Effective time management with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in problem-solving, analytical abilities, and effective communication (written and verbal).

**Desirable Attributes**
- Experience in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices.
- Formal qualification in a health-related field or extensive experience in endoscopy processing or sterilisation services.

**Pre-employment Validations**
- Verification of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Identification check validation.
- Police check clearance.
- Working with Children (WWC) check.
