Our Sales Assistants support the Salvation Army Supplies Manager with the day to day operations and financial management of the store, ensuring the store is presentable, inclusive of customer service and adequate stock levels.

About the Job

We’re looking for a Full-Time Sales Assistant located at The Salvation Army’s HQ in Blackburn VIC, reporting directly to the Salvation Army Supplies Manager.

The Red Shield is more than a brand - it’s a beacon of hope in communities across Australia. This is a vital role supporting the delivery of our mission, ensuring that our frontline workers have access to the uniforms and resources needed to do their jobs.

Here’s some of the things you can expect to do in this role:

- Ensure supplies are provided where and when they’re needed through efficient picking, packing and dispatch of orders
- Receive new stock, ensuring that it’s stored safely
- Keep the physical store looking sharp through visual merchandising
- Provide warm and friendly customer service to our teams across Australia
- Use your eye for detail to conduct efficient and accurate stock counts

About You

We’re looking for someone who has experience or is keen to learn the following:

- End to end dispatch of online and phone orders
- Stock management skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
