**THE APPRENTICESHIP**

Do you have an eye for detail and work best with your hands? Are you drawn to working with metal and find yourself picturing how things are made and what you would do differently? Becoming a **Sheetmetal Apprentice **could be what you are looking for

Undertaking this **four-year apprenticeship** will give you the opportunity to become a qualified trades person in the fabrication field and earn your (**MEM30305)** **Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication (Sheetmetal).**

You will learn all aspects of sheet metal fabrication including working on site-based air conditioning installation work, working on pre-fabrication work generally in the workshop and working with galvanized sheet metal. You will work with equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutter, guillotine, welding plants and power tools.

This position is located in **Everton Hills**. This is a Queensland-based company that mainly works within the Brisbane region. Their work is mostly site based, and within high rise buildings, shopping centres, schools, labs and hospitals.

**WHO SHOULD APPLY**

Our client is ideally looking for someone who has a great attitude, a willingness to learn, good communication and is efficient and flexible with potentially working on multiple sites during a day’s work.

We're searching for someone with good math and communication skills, great mechanical aptitude, can work with heights and is happy to work extra hours when required.

Previous work experience is an advantage, however not necessary.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Own vehicle and driver's licence to get to work each day
- White card required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good safety awareness
- COVID-19 vaccinated
