**About the Company**:
Austeel Industries Pty Ltd has been a market leader in the Prefabricated, Modular & Transportable Building Industry and has been servicing clients throughout Queensland and Northern NSW for over 35 years. Our client’s range across a wide span of industries and markets, including hire companies, small businesses, short term accommodation, residential construction, music festivals and other major events.

**About the Opportunity**:
We are currently looking for young starters with a keen interest in working in the construction or steel fabrication industries. Our workshop can offer a platform for juniors to develop skills in a supportive and structured team-based environment with our experienced staff setting a positive example.

We have opportunities available in both our Steel fabrication & Welding department, and our Building construction and assembly department.

Primary duties in the Steel Shop will include assisting the team with marking out, assembling, welding, modifying, and repairing Steel stud wall frames, as well as fabricating steps, landings, handrails, and other small accessories for transportable buildings.

In the Production Team, Juniors will take part in flooring, standing wall frames, sheeting walls, installing windows and doors, roofing, and other general construction skills.

Both sections will offer a chance to learn how to read and interpret technical drawings and will offer the satisfying sense of achievement that comes from making things with your own hands.

Additionally, from time to time apprenticeships may become available for juniors who are particular superstars in their areas.

- Understanding and following directions from supervisors
- Following set workplace procedures
- Assisting fellow team members with team tasks
- Be flexible to perform other duties within the workshop environment when required
- Be reliable, motivated, open to guidance and direction.

This role is only available to junior team members, under 19 years of age. For those who are interested in this role but do not fit into this age bracket, we have other opportunities available.

After successfully completing a probationary period of 3-6 months, this the job will be a permanent position at above award rates.
