About Us
Join the prestigious Parliamentary Security Service, dedicated to providing a professional security service to the Parliament of Queensland. Our mission is to ensure a safe and secure environment for Members of Parliament, staff, and visitors within the Parliamentary precinct.
Your duties and responsibilities as a Parliamentary Security Supervisor will see you:

- Co-ordinate security shift activities, including task allocation and roster preparation
- Perform and supervise security duties within the Parliamentary precinct including the Parliamentary precinct control room, monitoring systems and regular patrol duties.
- Assist Members, staff, visitors, and the public at all access and reception points.
- Liaise with management on security policies and participate in policy development.
- Assist State and Civil Authorities with Parliamentary security as required.
- Assist with the conducting of preventative security assessments.
- Coordinate emergency evacuations.
- Train and mentor Parliamentary Security Officers to build capability and confidence.

Key Strengths for Success
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a security setting.
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
