**Salary**: $75,000.00 plus Superannuation

We are currently looking for an experienced Loss Adjuster to join the Marine Services team based in Brisbane, QLD on a full-time basis. Reporting to the National Head of Marine Cargo & Executive Marine Surveyor, this role will see you use your skills and knowledge to resolve insurance claims.

- Responsibilities:_
- Proactively communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes and claim progress to all stakeholders
- Clearly document all decisions made and reasons, including ownership details, reserve changes and acceptance/rejection of claims
- Contributing to the further growth and success of the branch and region
- Undertake insurance claims investigations, assessment and adjustments in accordance with insurer instructions and policy terms and conditions.
- Assessment of nature, extent and causation of damage
- Compilation of Schedules of Loss
- Make recommendations regarding mitigating and salvage disposal
- Attend and respond to Catastrophe Events on behalf of Insurers
- Liaison with claim stakeholders - insurers, claimants, brokers, transporters, logistics agents, shipping lines, warehouses and any other appointed assessors/adjusters/surveyors or representative party
- Undertake typical marine surveying and damage assessment functions iwo insurance damage surveys, container damage inspections, bulk / breakbulk / containerized cargo inspections
- Undertake marine risk engineering / insurance warranty / condition assessment surveys
- Role will require good communications between Principals, Insurers, Broker, Insured and other third parties
- Small craft / personal watercraft and marina damage inspections / assessments
- About you:_
- Insurance loss adjusting experience
- Experience in major loss will be highly regarded
- Excellent Business development and negotiation skills
- Relevant industry qualifications, particularly ANZIIF or AICLA or equivalent
- Strong organisational, and written / verbal communication skills
- A strong service delivery focus for clients, including insurers, customers and brokers
- The ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Resilient with a growth mindset
