Mona, Tasmania's Museum of Old and New Art, has an opportunity for a Turf Trainee to help create and maintain the landscapes that complement our museum and associated properties. You'll work on varied horticultural projects whilst being supported to complete your Certificate III in Horticulture.

**The Gig**
- Work with experienced staff on diverse horticultural projects both on-site and off-site
- Operate and maintain machinery including ride-on mowers, brush cutters, and general grounds equipment
- Handle various manual tasks associated with grounds maintenance and landscape works
- Learn and obtain relevant certifications to work safely
- Participate in planning annual horticultural programs
- Help shape the landscapes that frame our visitors' experience
**The You**
- Genuine passion for growing your career in horticulture (Certificate II in Horticulture is an advantage)
- Keen to pursue Certificate III in Horticulture with our full financial support
- Self-motivated but also good at following direction and working as part of a team
- Safety-conscious with a good understanding of small machinery operation and maintenance
- Flexible team player willing to tackle different tasks and contribute to team goals
- Reliable and available for some weekend work
- Manual driver's licence is an advantage
This is a full-time maximum term position with financial support for your Certificate III qualification. You'll work with experienced horticulture staff on projects that are anything but ordinary and have the opportunity for career development with one of Australia's most well-known cultural institutions.
