At Payinthi we work on an integrative curriculum designed around the Early Years Learning Framework.
Aldinga Payinthi College Preschool is a unique component of a vibrant new B-12 College. It is co-located alongside a YMCA run long day care program with a shared outdoor play space. The preschool consists of a general preschool program and a 0.6 Inclusive Preschool Program (IPP) for learners with multiple disabilities. Both programs currently run concurrently with 1.6 teachers who work together with 1.6 Learning Community Support Officers (LCSO). We hold high expectations for all learners and staff and professional collaboration occurs across the college with leaders, admin, primary, secondary and preschool staff. Both preschool and IPP teachers work collaboratively to support, engage and improve learning for all learners in a flexible authentic integrated manner.
- Successful experience with learners with complex and multiple disabilities
- High level curriculum knowledge, skills and experience in implementing the Early Years Learning Framework v2 and designing engaging and motivating learning opportunities for ALL learners in an inclusive preschool setting
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in implementing the National Quality Standard
- Embedded formative assessment and dialogic teaching practices
- A commitment to ongoing learning, providing a consistent approach to practice informed by evidence, data and reflection
- A desire to work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues in de-privatised spaces, both physical and digital
