**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**

Our Client based in Eastern Sydney is looking for a Payroll Officer experienced with Chris21 or iChris. As a member of the People & Culture department at Council, work within a highly enthusiastic and supportive team. The payroll team consists of the Payroll Coordinator and the Payroll Officer and promotes a high level of collaboration.

**ABOUT THE POSITION.**

Immediate start - an initial 6-month opportunity with likelihood of extension and transitioning into a more stable position. A perfect opportunity for those seeking a career in Local Council. Reporting to the Payroll Coordinator you will be assisting in duties to coordinate and produce a timely and accurate payroll. You will be expected to attend the office full-time during the first 6-8 weeks, and WFH options will be available following this period.

**DUTIES.**
- Assist the Payroll Coordinator
- Process payroll functions (end-to-end) through iChris
- Process weekly payroll for permanent, temporary and casual staff
- Calculations, taxation and reconciliations as required
- Superannuation management

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.**
- **Chris21 or iChris experience is mandatory**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in payroll or accounting
- Experience in payroll processing in Local Council (preferred)
- Workers compensation experience (preferred)
- High level of attention to detail & simple problem solving skills
