**The Role**
We are seeking a compassionate, patient and motivated Disability Support Worker to provide company, support and encouragement for a young autistic boy who is struggling to get used to completing his schooling online. We require someone who can be with him and help him to stay motivated and to get past difficulties when he is struggling with learning in this way. He is intelligent but gets overwhelmed, previous experience with autistic children is highly desirable.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide assistance with daily living tasks (e.g., personal care, meal preparation, household duties).
- Support participants in community participation, social activities, and skill-building.
- Promote independence and choice in line with participants’ NDIS plans.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with participants, families, and coordinators.
- Uphold the NDIS Code of Conduct and Kane Community Services’ commitment to quality care.
**About You**

**Essential Requirements**
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (or currently studying in a related field).
- Valid Australian driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check
- Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
**Desirable**
- Experience in disability support or community services.
- Knowledge of NDIS frameworks and participant plans.
- Experience and qualification in implementing behaviour support plans
