Mechanical Tradesperson

As a manufacturer and distributor of baked products, we have an opportunity for an experienced **Mechanical Tradesperson** to join our team. We bring our passion for bread making to the centre of the table, where our products can be shared and enjoyed by all.

**The Role**:
The Mechanical Tradesperson’s responsibility is to ensure that all Plant and Machinery is maintained in a safe, compliant, and efficient running condition, to provide production with maximum machinery availability. In addition, the Mechanical Tradesperson is responsible for promptly communicating any Plant & Machinery issues to the Maintenance Supervisor, along with any initiatives to improve efficiency. The Mechanical Tradesperson is also responsible for overseeing the safety of co-workers and compliance with hygiene / food safety standards.

**PAY RATE** - $46.10 p/h T1.5Sat / T2.0Sun | Night shifts have additional 30% loading
**HOURS **- 6am - 6pm _or _6pm - 6am
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks
- Decrease the duration of all Downtimes
- Assist Engineering Department with meeting deadlines with the installation of new projects and improvements to current Plant & Machinery.
- Monitor the performance of all Plant and Machinery
- Communicate any on-going or unresolved issues to the Engineering Team
- Reordering of spare parts when used or required for upcoming tasks
- Actively monitor the way that Plant and Equipment is performing and report on initiatives to improve workflows and outputs.

- Although not essential, previous experience working in a fast-paced food environment (food manufacturer or industrial kitchen) is highly regarded
