**About Daunia Mine**:
Daunia is an established operation in the Bowen Basin, which has been producing high quality metallurgical coal for the export market since 2013. It is located south-east of Moranbah, adjacent to Whitehaven’s existing Winchester South development project. Daunia features state-of-the-art infrastructure and mining operations, including well-established autonomous equipment and infrastructure.

About the Role

We are excited to open up EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST for experienced Multi Skilled Operators to join us as at our newly acquired Daunia site within our Load & Haul and Mine Services teams.

Multi-Skilled Operators are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of mining equipment to meet production and budgetary targets. You will possess a broad depth of understanding and experience in road construction, road maintenance, earthmoving and general support works.

This role will suit hardworking and proactive Mobile Plant Operators, ideally with proven previous experience in safely operating the below mobile plant equipment:
Dozer Operators - D10T, D11T or equivalent
Grader Operators - 16M or equivalent
Water Cart Operators - 777 or equivalent
Loader Operators - 980 or equivalent
Scraper Operators - 637 or equivalent

Operators will be employed on an even time rotating day/night roster (7on/7off).

What You’ll Do

Contribute to the safe and efficient operation of mobile machinery and other plant in an autonomous haulage open cut environment to maximise production
Conduct routine operational and safety activities to effectively prepare for and manage operational workload
Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses the company’s risk management framework

What You’ll Bring

At least two (2) of the equipment competencies as listed
A positive attitude towards safety, improvement, training & environment
Ability to maintain a high work output level
Ability to adhere and live the Whitehaven Values and contribute to a collaborative organisational culture.
Open-cut production mining experience with statements of competency/VOC’s for equipment
Ability to pass a QLD Coal Board Medical
Trainer / assessor certification (desirable)
Autonomous Haulage experience (desirable)
