The Role

The Finance Business Partner provides business partnership to the relevant BU Directors/GMs (including the VIC/SA Director, WA GM, and Dental Director) and their leadership team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy and profitability. This includes regular and proactive engagement with the business for planning, understanding results, tracking key performance goals, and monitoring against forecasts.

You will oversee the deliverables for FP&A and maintain a close working relationship with the FP&A team including the Strategy/FP&A GM, which includes driving the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process and be the lead on commercial contracts and deals.
The role acts as the key conduit between the business and shared service function and is responsible for efficient day to day operations with ongoing focus on quality, innovation and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business to set financial targets to provide annual budgets and forecasts to FP&A function.
- Ensure appropriate KPIs are in place to manage the performance of the business.
- Prepare business case to support investment and capex requests.
- Oversee preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly management reports to ensure delivery of accurate financial results.
- Provide detailed commentary on underlying trends to key stakeholders, including recommendations on actions for variations to key budget outcomes.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial dashboards to key stakeholders to facilitate real-time decision making.
- Partner with key leadership stakeholders to identify opportunities aligned to long term growth strategy.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on key industry trends to advise business on future impact of current decisions.
- Partner with senior leadership team to identify commercial opportunities
- Monitor practitioner contracts and advise business on financial impact of material increases / decreases in service fee arrangements.

Experience & Attributes
- Tertiary Finance, Accounting or business degree
- Member of CA / CPA
- 3+ years’ experience in finance business partner/FP&A or similar commercial role
- Proven experience in financial reporting & analysis around variance analysis in trends / budgeting / forecasting
- Experience in developing and delivering articulate and advanced financial modelling aligned to a business goal
- Problem solving and analytical skills to solve complex problems
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative outcome-based relationships with key stakeholder management
- Ability to work with and influence senior leadership team members
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong project and people management skills
- Experience in reporting software (Power BI / VBA / Excel / TM1)
