**Asbestos Removalist**

Savana Environmental specialise in Hazardous Waste Management and Removal in Perth, Western Australia. We provide a wide range of asbestos inspection and removal related services throughout Western Australia, from decontamination and encapsulation, refurbishment and demolitions, air monitoring and building surveys (management). We hold an unrestricted asbestos removal licence issued by WorkSafe for the removal of all forms of asbestos throughout Western Australia. Savana Environmental is also accredited by the IICRC for restoration services, including mould remediation.

Our friendly Perth team requires the services of multiple Asbestos Removal workers to meet industry demand and support our busy team.

Due to the specialised nature of this work, successful applicants will initially undergo a period of supervised training and support that will lead to you being awarded an asbestos removal certification in Western Australia.

**About the role**:
Upon receiving industry specific training and support, you will work within a team of trades and asbestos removalists and be jointly responsible for Bonded Asbestos Removal, Fibrous Asbestos Removal, Contaminated Soil Remediation, Decontamination and Encapsulation, Asbestos Surveys, Air Monitoring, Project Management and Strip Outs.

Duties Include:

- Isolation of work project area by erecting signage, clearing of objects, removing hazards, covering vents etc.
- Build containment enclosures.
- Safe removal of bonded and friable asbestos from walls, ceilings, beams, fencing etc. All in accordance with your training as well as occupational health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring all waste storage containers and bags are clearly labelled and sealed.
- Safe operation of a variety of specialist tools and equipment.
- Decontamination of all equipment and tools at the end of daily use.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe workplace by participating in safety, toolbox and other meetings as required.
- Your safety and environmental protection must be your top priority by following strict work methods and procedures to ensure the safety of all personnel and the environment.
- Be willing to undertake any other duties within your competence, skill, qualifications, and experience, as directed, to support the successful operation of the workshop.
- Preferably 1 year experience in Asbestos Removal is preferred.
- A current unrestricted Western Australian driver's license is required.
- Holder of a White Card.
- Have a strong work ethic and a reliable team-player.
- Have a demonstrated and consistent commitment to safety policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

**Salary**: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Work Location: On the road
