We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader for our Pimpama House

**As a Team Leader, you will**:
- Lead by example, promoting respect, integrity, and open communication at all levels.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to your team, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
- Cultivate an environment where both participants and staff feel heard, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
- Uphold the mission and vision of Anchored Care by fostering a team-driven approach to service provision.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supervise and support staff**: Mentor and supervise Disability Support Workers, providing coaching, feedback, and regular performance evaluations.
- **Ensure quality care delivery**: Manage the daily operations of support services, ensuring care plans are followed, and participant goals are achieved.
- **Provide direct support**: Assist participants with manual handling, hoisting, high intensity needs, complex care needs, personal care tasks, behavior management, and support in home and community settings.
- **Foster positive relationships**: Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with participants, families, and other stakeholders.
- **Manage documentation**: Complete shift reports, incident reports, progress updates, and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- **Lead crisis management**: Handle critical incidents, debrief staff, and implement strategies to mitigate future risks.
- **Team communication**: Maintain open lines of communication within your team, addressing challenges, recognizing achievements, and promoting a positive working environment.
- **Promote professional development**: Support your team in their professional growth by identifying training needs and opportunities for learning.
- **Leadership**: Demonstrates a commitment to fostering a positive team culture, leading by example, and maintaining high standards of care and service delivery.
- **Experience**: At least 2 years of experience in the disability sector, including supervisory or team leader responsibilities, with a deep understanding of manual handling, hoisting, transfers, high intensity/complex care needs.
- **Qualifications**: A Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, or Individual Support (or higher) is a must
- **Skilled**: Experience working with participants with a wide range of disabilities, including high-care needs, mental health challenges, and physical disabilities. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavior management is highly desirable.
- **People skills**: Ability to engage and communicate effectively with participants, families, and your team, using empathy and respect.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and overnight shifts as part of a 24/7 roster.
- **Problem-solving**: Ability to navigate challenges effectively, with a proactive approach to risk management and service delivery improvements.
**Desirable Qualifications & Skills**:
- Experience in complex mental health and high intensity care needs (highly desirable).
- Experience in Diabetes management, Asthma and Osteoarthritis.
- Knowledge of NDIS requirements and policies.
- Trauma-informed approach to care and behavior management.
- Ability to work independently, while also being part of a collaborative team.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
**Key Performance Expectations**:
- Ensure team members adhere to house standards and maintain high service delivery standards.
- Maintain compliance with incident reporting timelines and all regulatory requirements.
- Support and guide your team to ensure that participants’ goals are achieved and that they receive the highest quality of care possible.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and reporting (shift notes, incident reports, medical charts, etc.).
- Provide regular team updates, conduct team meetings, and address performance issues where necessary.
