GDP Group is a leading property services company seeking an energetic and fully qualified mechanical fitter with skills in project management and client communicaitons to join our service division in Melbourne.

We provide a diverse range of facilities management solutions in and around Melbourne. Our primary goal is to ensure that maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient preventative maintenance and repairs.

To be considered for this role, you will require.

**_Criteria:_**
- Current Trade qualifications as a mechanical engineer/fitter with minimum 5 years post trade experience
- Australian Driver’s License,
- General Construction Induction Card,
- Project Management Skills delivering projects to scope and budget would be advantageous,
- Experience in crane, plant or process machinery operation and servicing,
- Ability to engage suppliers and SME’s, for replacement parts and fault find,
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures,
- Understand and deliver compliant OH&S systems on site,
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work autonomously,
- Demonstrated faults finding ability to troubleshoot and rectify issues,
- Experience in working in a construction environment,
- Has experience in running medium to large size projects,
- Proven experience in conducting defect inspections and writing reports
- Mechanical aptitude to fault find and make minor adjustments
- Proven preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
- Attending site for machine commissioning and breakdowns
- Great work management skills to ensure deadlines are met,
- Comfortable with working at heights
- An ability to work in high pressure breakdown situations
- An ability to think for yourself and a desire to constantly improve your capabilities,

Salary range between $37 - $42 per hour plus superannuation, depending on relevant qualifications and experience.
