**Piber Plastics Australia Pty Ltd** is a leading manufacturer based in Derrimut, VIC, dedicated to producing high-quality products through innovative methods and exceptional craftsmanship. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our dynamic team.

**Job Duties**
- Conducting routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and service scheduling on our manufacturing plant to ensure safe and compliant operation.
- Swiftly attending to and resolving breakdowns of injection moulding machines and other essential manufacturing equipment.
- Actively participating in continuous improvement and reliability projects, including thorough root cause analysis.
- Diligently completing all necessary documentation related to maintenance and repair activities.

**Requirements and Skills**
- Must have 2 years’ experience as a Fitter.
- A solid background in dismantling, sealing, and maintaining hydraulic cylinders.
- Able to study drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings.
- Proficiency in mould assembly and disassembly.
- fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment.
- Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments.
- The ability to accurately analyse sketches and blueprints to determine material needs, operational sequences, and machine configurations.
- Experience in cleaning and fitting cooling lines.
- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
- Skills in dismantling and reassembling screw barrels for maintenance.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision, ensuring all fabricated and assembled metal parts meet stringent accuracy, clearance, and fit standards.
- Experience in setting up and operating various machining tools, ensuring conformity with specified material and assembly standards.
- Skills in cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
- A proactive approach to diagnosing faults, performing operational maintenance, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.

**Salary**: $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation per annum
