About the Department

The Financial Crime Risk team is at the leading edge of AML and Financial Crime prevention and detection for the Bendigo and Adelaide Group under the Financial Crime Risk management framework.

As the demand grows for our expertise, we have an additional role in the team. It’s about support to maintain and help grow the intelligence and analytical capability for the management of financial crime risk across the department and the broader group; support the identification, maintenance and disruption of financial crime.

has a national responsibility and availability to travel and work away from the office and home is essential
work in different locations from time to time and sometimes at unusual hours

Experience, skills and capabilities

Experience with managing detection engines and systems in Financial Crime Risk including fraud and AML
Identifying and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Strong ability to summarise and articulate results to stakeholders
Intermediate to Advanced skills in SQL, Microsoft Excel, VBA
Working knowledge of big data analysis tools like R, Python etc
Working knowledge of visualisation tools like PowerBI, Qlik etc
Experience in Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Analytics
Exposure to financial crime risk management, with emphasis on AML/CTF, Sanctions and Fraud is advantageous.
