We are seeking an experienced payroll officer to join one of Australia's leading insurers in a supportive and forward-thinking team.

This role will be aligned to support the workers compensation claims team and you will be responsible for managing weekly compensation payments as well as business reimbursements and PIAWE. They are happy to train on different state requirements and upskill your knowledge of the workers compensation industry.

**This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney CBD with flexibility to work from home 2 day per week.**

**The role**
- To excel in this role you will have excellent analytical skills, as you will be utilizing excel spreadsheets to determine weekly compensation payments.
- You’ll be joining an small high performing team for a leading company in their field, reporting directly to the team manager.

**About you**
- Experience in payroll processing or performing a similar role in a workers compensation environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication capabilities
- Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- A genuine interest and passion to learn and develop new skills
