**Job Purpose**
Reporting to Compliance Manager, an exciting hands-on role with a diverse range of activities, you will be someone that rolls up their sleeves, has good attention to detail, strong communication skills, and takes pride in quality standards. Your role will be to ensure the SIL houses are provided with a timely, skilled and customer focused maintenance service.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform necessary maintenance and repairs in SIL houses and/or schedule contractors for maintenance related work in the houses.
- Regular property inspections.
- Home Safety checks; checking safety equipment like fire hoses, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, alarms etc.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and well organised compliant SIL house.
- Report potential safety hazards adhering to all company safety policies, practices, and regulations.
- Provide a sustainable, safe, and highly operational environment for the participants.
- Ensure the preventable maintenance schedule is adhered to and up to date.
- Ensure any request of maintenance is responded to in a timely manner and that request is documented.
- Liase with both internal and external customers in a compassionate, helpful manner that reflects Care I Wish values.
- Light labour duties, including the assembly of furniture and the set of up of devices and white goods.

- Ability to take direction from the manager and then act with mínimal support to facilitate smooth operation of maintenance.
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules.
- Knowledge about electrical and plumbing systems.
- Ability to understand technical manuals.
- Ability to have a positive, flexible approach to the role according to the daily challenges.
**Financial Budgeting, Risk Management and Work Health and Safety**
- Takes reasonable care to ensure own safety and health as well as the safety and health of their team. This includes a role in crisis management such as pandemics or natural disasters as required.
- Complies with the health and safety policy and legislative requirements and register risks and incidents identified including accidents or near misses.
**Manage Quality & Continuous Improvement**
- Ability to influence others, working closely with the Divisions to support organisational change and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ensure compliance with policy, procedures, work instructions, and organisational and legislative requirements.
**Education Qualifications**
- Relevant experience in maintenance service delivery and management
- Trade certificate or other relevant building/trade qualifications
**Personal Clearances for working in Disability and Aged care**
- Current National Police Clearance and Right to work in Australia.
- Qualification Certificates (and transcript when applicable).
- Current COVID-19 Vaccinations and an ability to work from a home office if required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the senior clinical team and Allied Health professionals.
