Staircase Draftsperson

**About the role**

We are looking for a Draftsperson who has experience with drafting stairs or similar. You will be part of a team responsible for drafting customised staircase solutions for our clients, playing a vital part in the success of our growing business.

Your experience with stair construction will help translate design concepts into precise, accurate plans that meet both client specifications and production requirements.

**What you'll be doing**
- Producing detailed technical drawings for bespoke internal and external staircases, balustrades and privacy screens using materials such as MDF, stainless steel, timbers, aluminium and glass, using CAD software
- Ensuring designs adhere to relevant building codes and safety standards
- Collaborating with carpenters, project managers, and engineers to ensure drawings are feasible and accurate.
- Interpret blueprints and technical plans related to construction
- Providing support and advice to the production team during the manufacturing process
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation for all projects
- Attending site to measure area prior to drafting and attending during installation if required

**What we're looking for**
- Proven experience as a Draftsperson or CAD Technician, preferably with a focus on staircase design or carpentry-related fields
- Strong technical drawing and 3D modelling skills using AutoCAD or similar software
- Reliable and willing to learn attitude
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of construction materials and processes related to staircase manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Thorough understanding of the BCA and staircase design standards

NOTE: _Applicant must be currently based in Sydney, NSW & able to attend our office based in Prestons, near Liverpool (sorry - no sponsorships will be given)_

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
